My grandma is a pro at keeping plants. Whether indoor or outdoor her plants are always gorgeous and well, alive. Unfortunately having a green thumb isn’t genetic and my brain can only handle a certain amount of tasks per day. So I did what every self-respecting lazy person does and googled “low maintenance indoor plants”. There are actually a surprising amount of plants out there that don’t require constant attention. Here are a few of my favs!
My parents had aloe plants when I was growing up. They just kept growing and making little baby aloe plants. We would slice open a leaf once in a while and use it to soothe sunburn or apply on scrapes or cuts. This plant flourishes in indirect light and minimal watering. Aloe is one cool multi-purpose plant!
I’ve always found flowers to be intimidating to grow. I’ve tried several times to grow them with no avail. You do have to keep the soil consistently moist but these plants are known to help control carbon dioxide and formaldehyde in the air. I would say the benefits outweigh the extra maintenance for this one.
These succulents are fool proof as far as upkeep. They rarely need to be watered and can live up to 6 years. Hens & Chicks require full sunlight but are resilient to extreme temperatures. I love the look of these!
